Hi Susie,
I work (part time) as a PA for a lady with MS who lives in Wilmslow and we are looking for another part time PA to add to the team.
Rhona is a very independent 69 year old woman (the big 70 this year!) who lives in her own bungalow in Wilmslow. She was diagnosed with MS over 30 years ago but it has now progressed to a point where she needs a lot of additional help with day to day living. She is a wheelchair user who is no longer able to transfer and a ceiling track hoist has been fitted in her bedroom.
She has her own vehicle that the PAs use to take Rhona shopping, to the gym and to the movies etc. For insurance reasons you would need to be over 25 and hold a clean driving licence.
Duties may include food preparation, feeding, toileting, shopping, showering (only rarely), driving Rhona’s car, attending doctor/hospital appointments, companionship, cleaning, ironing etc.
Ideally we are looking for someone to work 2 five hour days (12:00 ish to 17:00 ish) preferably Monday and Friday (though this is reasonably flexible) and you would be entitled to the equivalent for 4 weeks holiday per year. You would be paid £10 per hour (before tax) which would be paid monthly (PAYE).
Sorry to ramble on but there is a lot of information to fit in!
Is this something you would be interested in? If you have any questions or need any additional information just let me know.
Alison
