We are looking for a Personal Assistant/Carer to support a young boy who is blind and autistic.
George is a very happy, smiley 6-year-old who loves a variety of music, playing on the swing and listening to stories
Experience with young children essential.
Experience with disabilities an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.
DBS required, cost met by employer
Full driving licence required.
The Personal Assistant will need to work closely with the family and will be required to support George mostly out in the community to access relevant activities and social events/gatherings, sometimes as an extra pair of hands for mum.
Occasional support in the family home will also be required.
Hours are equivalent to 4 hours per week but to be worked flexibly, typically alternate weekends and during the school holidays (weekdays)
Possibility of increased hours during school holidays.
