Personal care Assistant - Nelson
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to provide support to a lady and her family within her own home and within the local community.
As a Personal Assistant your duties will include supporting with all aspects of daily life, including personal care, domestic support, cleaning, laundry etc, cooking and shopping. Support to attend appointments and accessing the community will also be necessary.
We are looking for a caring, proactive and motivated individual with a passion for supporting others.
Previous experience is desirable but not essential, but a positive attitude and good work ethic is essential.
You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A good sense of humour is also desirable!
A driver with a full clean license would be an advantage, as would access to transport.
The family home has a dog and a cat, so you must like pets.
Experience in dealing with autism and learning difficulties would be an advantage, but not essential as advice can be given.
Regular shifts mon-fri (morning and afternoon) are available but a degree of flexibility will be needed.
16 hours a week Mon-Fri split shift 9am-10.30am and 4pm-5.30pm with an extra hour in the week to make up the 16 hours. Hourly rate of £10.00 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and a workplace pension scheme, should you be eligible.
The successful applicants must be willing to undergo a DBS check and must also be able to provide a recent employment reference to support the application.
