Assistant must be honest, trustworthy, and reliable, must respect privacy and maintain client dignity at all times.
Assistant must be enthusiastic and flexible with a caring disposition.
Must be able to work well independently. Experience is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided. Assistant must have a full clean driving license and preferably be willing to drive car which they will be insured to use.
Relatively independent and capable individual to do most things with minimal assistance, however will need help to travel to places using public transport as may not be familiar with routes and places. Will need support to ensure room is tidy, clothes are clean and correct depending on the weather. Will need support to do banking and shopping as well as accessing the community as occasion serves. May need prompting to ensure is on a pathway to independence by following agreed goals e.g booking taxis for the week, cooking, banking, laundry and speaking on the phone.
