About me

I am a hard working, kind, compassionate, respectful, honest, can pick things up quickly and a good listener. I have worked in care and social support for around 2 years and have hands-on experience drawn from several roles, ranging from agency work to working in a service supporting children and young people with autism and learning disabilities. I have formal training in both autism and dementia awareness and have worked with older people with dementia.

I have completed a full care certificate in October 2024 and have a good level of safeguarding experience from roles I have undertaken. I have experience working with people with autism, learning disabilities and mental health diagnoses. This is something I have done for over 2.5 years.

I am customer focused and like to go above and beyond to support people and treat them as I would expect to be treated. I am intuitive and observant, and am professionally curious to ask questions to gain clarity on a situation if I notice anything of concern. I take time to get to know someone and can go at their own pace to help build trust. I act with discretion and am reliable, and have good time management skills. I am a natural problem solver and am calm under pressure, and can adapt to the changing needs of the client.
