    Work

Precious Kids private day nursery (July 2017- December 2018)

My role as bank staff was to cover staff who are off on leave, sick, or when the nursery needed extra staff. However, I also worked full-time at the nursery. As a result, I know about working in all areas of the nursery setting, which covered ages 0-5 years.

Salvation Army- Out of school club (August 2019-July 2022)

I worked within the breakfast and after-school club which included taking the children to and from school. I also did the holiday club. I worked with a wide range of children aged 3-12 years old. My role consisted of planning and delivering activities to meet children’s’ needs, including educational and play-based activities. Teamwork with other staff was consistent when planning activities and communicating with parents regularly.

Ravensbury Community Primary school- Agency, (September 2022- July 2023)

I have previously worked 1:1 with various children aged from 4-11 who had various additional and medical needs including autism. I regularly encouraged the children to interact with the resources within the classroom and to settle into the environment at the beginning of the year.
I led intervention activities to help engage individuals in curriculum work.

Hollinwood Academy (September 2023- July 2024)

I worked as a general TA within the primary base of the school. The school is catered for autistic children who may also have low communication and social development. I worked actively with the class teacher and other members of staff to support the children. I was also effective in communicating with the parents and carers and other outside agency.
I am trained in team teach, handling positive behaviour, Safeguarding and radical prevention.

Hopwood Hall College: September 2024 to ongoing

I currently work as a learning support assistant within the college. My role is to support young people 16+ with various disabilities within the classroom environment. On a daily basis, I support young people with physical, mental and learning challenges. I help prepare the young people for the next stages of adulthood.
