  • Employment History 

    I have a background in social care. I trained as a learning disability nurse a long time ago but worked overseas for many years doing social work.
    Have often done home based care for children and adults. Prior to returning to UK I worked with a young person with complex health and disabilities, cerebral palsy and epilepsy. I provided support with personal care they required full care. I also provided social support for shopping, going the movies.

    I have provided work and social support for adults with visual impairment.

    I have done signing and makaton in the past but my vocabulary needs refreshing.
    I have experience using equipment, including hoists.

    I experienced with peg feeds, providing suctioning and emergency medication for epilepsy.

  • Job Related Training & Education 

    Mandatory training in moving and handling.
    Diploma in Social work, Diploma in nursing – Learning disabilities

Happy with dogs/cats etc
Not a swimmer/runner – so would not be able to support these activities.
