    Providing careers and learning advice and guidance.

    Supporting disabled clients to find and sustain paid employment. Ensuring inclusive recruitment and reasonable adjustments.

    Providing training and support to disabled job seekers and clients.

    Prior to this, I had a number of part time roles all of which provided me with a great range of experience and skills. For a period of around 6 months, I worked as a home carer for a private care agency. I undertook a range of duties including personal care,
    preparing meals, light cleaning, laundry and changing beds.

    I also regularly undertake a care and support role for a family member. This includes days out, organising files, bills and paperwork, preparing snacks and meals, tidying, cleaning and personal care.

    Training
    I have recently updated annual CPD and training. This includes Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Safeguarding, Prevent, Health and Safety, Display Screen Equipment and GDPR.
    I have also trained in Autism awareness, Social Model of Disability, Makaton, Mental health awareness, Learning difficulties and disabilities.

    The Manchester College:
    2020: Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills
    2018: Level 1 Award in Mental Health

    Edge Hill University, 2010:
    PGCE in post compulsory education, specialising in SEND

    Norman Mackie Associates, 2003 Level 3 Certificate in Supported Employment

I am a caring and positive individual, person centred with a kind and warm approach.

I am a good listener and communicator, patient and build an easy rapport with others. I aspire to support people to live their best lives.

Flexible in my approach to work, I am able to be responsive when things change, whilst also following and supporting routines as needed. I am confident to approach and deal with challenges and have a problem solving approach to life and work.

I am happy to support in the home and in the community and open to any tasks and activities that are required by the Employer.

I am currently embarking on an exciting career change from working in education
leadership and am looking to move back into a supporting, community based role.
