I have worked in the NHS for over 20 years – in that time I completed 2x years of nurse training but gave it up due to ill health.
I have worked as a carer in the NHS, working on wards and in the community for Marie curie.
My latest jobs in the NHS are as a physio assistant with Macmillan, in the community, and then at Leighton Hospital in Orthopaedic surgery, this led me to gain my qualification as an assistant practitioner in physiotherapy and I spent 2 years, full-time working on my foundation degree. I spent 3 years working with Orthopaedics then moved into the community once I adopted my son. This was the same role but was a lot closer to home and more flexible.
When my son reached the age of 7 he became more unmanageable in school and for childminders. I then made the decision to leave and went to art school to start my art career.
I also worked with autistic adults at Bank Hall, Winsford while I was inbetween roles.

About me

Hi I am a local artist needing part time school hours if possible?
My background is working in the NHS for over 20 years as a carer, then a physio assistant practitioner in both hospitals and the community.
I had to leave my physio career due to my sons additional needs – he has both adhd and autism.
I then went to art school, as this is my number one passion, and have been running both children’s and adults workshops. I specialise in stained glass and mosaics at the moment and I do have a regular boy, with needs similar to my sons, who I see on a 1:1 basis to teach art and craft to.
