    I started my care work experience entirely by accident. My Nanna got Dementia with Lewy Bodies and I nursed her through that until she passed away. It made me want to help other people so applied to work as a personal assistant and still work with the same family I started with, though I have had several other part time clients.

About me

I am a personal assistant/ support buddy in Eastbourne. I have worked for the same family for almost seven years supporting their young adult son living at home. He is autistic, with other learning difficulties. He is non/verbal and with a profound hearing loss and we use makaton to communicate. I am relocating to New Mills in the new year and as such am looking to find someone new to work for.
