I was employed in the NHS from 1987 to 2007, then worked as a support worker in a private organisation before building myself up and eventually becoming a manager of 10 supported living homes. I went running my own service in the Fylde and Wyre for Employment and Development for people with Predomantely Mental Health problems before working for the Care Quality Commission for 5 years as a Clinical Specialist Advisor. In 2019 I returned to the NHS only to find it had changed and was not what I wanted so I left and set up my own business.

About me
My name’s Jeff and I have been in the NHS for over 25 years, but I came out to give more to those who need it. I am now self-employed as a P/A with experience in Mental Health/ Learning Disability/difficulty/ Challenging Behaviour/ Autism/ MCA/DOL/MHA, I am also a Cub Scout leader so my DBS and safeguarding are up to date. I currently work as a P/A for a young male adult with complex issues for 4 hours per day, helping him with daily tasks including shopping/ travel/ attending appointments, going to the gym, visiting places to walk and generally tidying his house on a daily basis. It’s fun as we both bounce off each other as he needs a mentor and likes to laugh.
The area I cover is mainly Lancashire but should work require me to travel further then costs have to be met by a resonable hourly rate.
