To help support our superstar 13yo child, who has cerebral palsy.
We have a few shifts available, including 3 waking nights and some early morning shifts (6am start).
You will be responsible for tubefeeding, personal care, play and activities, domestic duties for our child and the rooms she and her team access, driving her vehicle, therapy and generally keeping her safe and happy. She requires some suction for secretion management.
All training will be given.
We are looking for one or two extra personal assistants to help support our 13 year old child, who has cerebral palsy.
Our child has complex needs, and is the most amazing little person who loves mischief and getting messy. They also require 24 hour care, are tubefed a blended diet, require regular suction and 24 hour postural management. They need support to communicate using an auditory switch scanning device.
Above all we need someone with the right interpersonal skills, caring, conscientious, trustworthy and kind. We are a neurodivergent family so an understanding of autism, ADHD, PDA, is also an advantage.
While care or SEN education experience is an advantage it is not essential as all training will be given.
We have several weekend waking nights available, and several morning shifts driving our child to school.
