There is a part time Personal Assistant role available supporting a young lady who has cerebral palsy and other complex needs, who is wheelchair bound and lives with her family. She needs full personal care and support to access community activities along with trips out to the pub, shopping, walks in the countryside and seaside along with many other activities.
In order to succeed, you will be professional, kind-hearted and fun to make a positive difference to this young lady’s life, enabling her to access the community. You will have experience working as a carer/Personal Assistant. An understanding of cerebral palsy would be advantageous along with experience of personal care and working with people with complex needs.
Your responsibilities will involve supporting this young lady in her own home and out and about with all aspects of daily living including personal care. You will work partly with other members of the team and partly on a one to one basis.

You will ideally be female, be self-motivated, flexible and have the ability to use your own initiative whilst being caring and sensitive to the needs of others. It is essential that you hold a full driving licence as you will need to drive the young ladies adapted vehicle. You will work partly with other members of the team and partly on a one to one basis..
The role will require regular weekend daytime working and one evening during the week. There is the prospect of additional hours being available to cover maternity leave later in the year.
