A personal assistant to provide support to a lady with Down Syndrome, Support is required in the home in the morning before day centre varies between 07.00 start and 10.00am finish, and in the afternoon between 3.30pm and 6.00pm after day centre Monday to Friday, Joining a small team of carers so not required every day, hours to be agreed,
This lady requires some some support with personal care and may need prompting,
You will also assist with light domestic tasks and meal preparation,
In the afternoon shift, support required to include activities such as walking, crafts, reading etc
We are looking for a caring, proactive and motivated individual with a passion for supporting others. Applicants need to be understanding and patient. Ideally the successful candidate will have a positive attitude, be sociable and enjoy spending time keeping her engaged with fun activities
Previous experience of working within a similar role is desirable but not essential. Applicants must hold a full, clean, valid driving license and will be subject to DBS checks if required, Female preferred, need to be reliable and flexible, More than one person is required to provide flexibility.
