SELF EMPLOYED PA
Initially for one hour per day from 1530 to 1630, to meet client from bus and take up to flat in her wheelchair, although some flexibility may also be required.
To help maintain independence, reading mail, ordering medication and putting into dosette boxes, a small amount of help with changing shoes, choosing dinner, shopping, laundry, and general cleaning.
Some flexibility may be required to escort to GP, hospital appointments, or outings.
A patient person with a good sense of humour required.
A self-employed person needed to replace a wonderful PA, who has provided flexible support over the past 8 years (approximately 5 hours per week), doing all the things a close family member would do in an ideal world. Popping in each afternoon to meet her off the plus-bus will enable the client to continue attending the neuro-centre (Mon to Thurs) as she needs escorting back to her flat in a wheelchair.
Her current PA checks all her mail, finances, appointments, medication, shopping, cleaning, laundry, etc, and shares duties with another wonderful private carer who will remain in post.
This support is in addition to the client's formal care package, which she receives 4 times per day from a care agency. It's for all the little extras that makes life a little easier for someone who needs a professional friend she can trust.
