About me

I have a wealth of experience working with individuals with severe learning difficulties, Autism, ADHD, communication difficulties and challenging behaviours. 

I am resilient, calm and can remain focused during challenging times. I can adapt my approach to meet the needs of the individual. I will look for patterns and triggers to identify any behaviours arising or redirect and distract to prevent them from escalating further. 

I am happy to support the individuals with personal care and will ensure their dignity is maintained at all times. 

I am used to supporting individuals out in the community and preparing for transitions. I will offer reassurance during anxious moments and encourage them to engage in their favourite activities and in any social situations with their peers. I will help be them as independent as possible, aiming to build their confidence and self esteem.
If they are sensory, I love messy play. Messy play is a great way to meet their sensory needs and encouragement to build their tolerance to sensory aversions. Some times it works but we’ll have fun a long the way!
I am kind, caring and like to have fun. Laughter is the best medicine.
